Stocks Trading Company Celebrates Grand Opening with Ribbon Cutting

Stocks Trading Company officially opened its doors with a successful Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting ceremony on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at its new location at 1950 N Roberts Ave.

The event, which was a celebration of community support and new beginnings, was made possible with the invaluable help of Cindy Kern, Executive Director Lumberton Chamber of Commerce. Stocks Trading Company expressed immense gratitude for her work in orchestrating the special day.

The ceremony saw a strong turnout from local leaders and business community members. Attendees included Mayor Bruce Davis, City Council Representative Leroy Rising, and Chamber Chair Crystal Collins. They were joined by numerous local business owners and Chamber Ambassadors, all showing their support for the new venture.

“Your support means the world,” said a representative from Stocks Trading Company, acknowledging the community’s warm welcome.

The company also extended its thanks to key partners who contributed to the new showroom’s success. Dealer representatives from Ashley Furniture and Climatic Home Products were recognized for their assistance in creating the beautiful space. Additionally, local financing partners from Lendmark were thanked for their support and attendance at the event.

Stocks Trading Company also made a point to honor its own team, thanking its “wonderful and dedicated staff” for their hard work and for helping to cut the ribbon.

Finally, the company shared a heartfelt message of gratitude to its family and friends. The owners highlighted their unwavering encouragement and belief, especially during the challenging period following the closure of their previous Badcock Home Furniture store. Their support was credited with helping the business get back on its feet.

Stocks Trading Company looks forward to serving the Lumberton community and invites everyone to visit their new showroom.

Front Porch Veterinary Clinic cuts the ribbon

The Lumberton Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting at Front Porch Veterinary Clinic on May 16th, 2025.  Front Porch Veterinary Clinic, previously North End Veterinary Clinic, was purchased and rebranded by Dr. Elisabeth Cox Stone in October 2024. Located at 5791 North Fayetteville Road in Lumberton, the clinic provides veterinary care, boarding, and grooming services to cats and dogs with a focus on preventive care, wellness, nutrition, senior pet care, surgery, illness/injury management and dental care. The clinic’s mission is to serve the community through caring for pets and their families by creating a warm, welcoming, family-focused environment that promotes veterinary health and wellness. Front Porch is AAHA accredited signifying the practice meets or exceeds stringent quality standards that encompass all aspects of veterinary medicine, from pain management to medical record-keeping, and has committed to a path of continuous improvement.
