The Lumberton Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic was held Thursday, May 14th at Pine Crest Golf Club. And what a great day for a tournament! We would like to thank the businesses that assisted in making this day so successful. The luncheon was catered by Outback Steakhouse and the beverages were provided by Healy Wholesale and Pepsi Bottling Ventures. The Hole-in- one sponsor was Peterson Toyota. The winning team for the tournament was Zaxby’s with a score of 59 which consisted of Darren Hunt, Robbie Davis, Elijah Goodwin and Rico Jordan. Second Place was Lumbee Guaranty Bank with a score of 60 with a score card playoff which consisted of Bradley Strickland, Jamison Strickland, Marcus Bryant and Kajun Hunt. Third place went to Campbelton Grove Luxury Events Center with a score of 60 which consisted of Tony Walters, Mike Register, Kelton Byrd and Baxter Canady. Closest to the pin on #2 Lamark Harris, Closest to the pin on #7 Lonnil Locklear, Closest to the pin on #12 was Clayton Pridgen, Most Accurate Drive on #8 was Ashley Kling and on #3 was Terrance Mc Callum.
The tournament had a host of great volunteers which consisted of Tournament Chair, Suzanne Abbott-Abbott Insurance Services.
