UNC Pembroke has been awarded a patent for a method to treat Alzheimer’s and traumatic brain injury patients. This is exciting news for the University, but more importantly for the worldwide efforts to slow and even reverse the progression of Alzheimer’s disease.
This is the first patent the University’s history and is the result of the work of Dr. Ben Bahr, William C. Friday Chair and Distinguished Professor, and his team at the UNCP Biotechnology Center.
